I had a hell of a time finding just such a belt, until I found one almost by chance at Wilkes in SF.

I have the tan shell cordovan belt from Ben Silver, which rocks!

I wore my edwardian-colored shoes to an Allen-Edmonds outlet store and found a reasonably close color match. I think the AE color I chose is called "brandy".

I have one that's either Polo RL or Coach (I forget which), but I bought it several years ago and have no idea if it's still being made.

Get a belt from EG. It's about $100 and can be done reasonably quick.

Are you sure? I was quoted 99 GBP for a belt from EG.

Yeah, $100 sounds more like AE belt pricing than EG belt pricing.

I'm too lazy to Google right now, but I imagine zjp83 or Andrew might have experience with EG belting.

Reviving this thread to see if anyone has had any experience with EG belts? In particular, what kind of buckle do they use? Having a ***** of a time finding beltmakers who use leathers that have the same level of antiquing as some of the shoes we are all so fond of.

On that note, JL had a few belts on display at their factory store when I was there, but they all looked highly underwhelming. Don't remember the price either unfortunately...

Lobb belts are extremely expensive. Like $300 or $400. With regard to leather goods, they have recently introduced some killer briefcases too - one with a double strap to imitate the double monk strap Chapel. It's a really cool bag, but, again the price... over $3,000. That's Hermes for you. I wonder if they are Hermes-made..

Anyhow, I've never purchased an Edward Green belt, but I know aportnoy has, so contact him.
