Belt Constructions- glued, stitched, folded etc.

Good Day,
Today I was looking for some information about belt construction. Unfortunately, was not able to find.

I saw some belts sewed/stitched, some seem to be non-stiched/glued with edge paint (but just 1 big piece of leather), I also saw a belt (crocodile by Berluti) that appeared to have no Stich and uses 2 leather with edge paint.
Some are even folded in and then stitched.

Long story short, what are the benefits on doing stiched, non-stitched, folded in?
What is expensive, what is more industrial?
What lasts longer?

good question which puzzles me many years.

i remember in a very old post, someone said no stitch is best but didn't explain reason. then some years ago NMWA introduced tubo which became popular here.

hope some experts would give more insight.
