Are there any lying around that go for less than 100 bucks? i find each jacket on ebay has 20 bids launching the prices sky high.

has anyone found any luck finding any waxed cotton pieces at thrift stores?

Never seen one, nor have I ever found anything by Belstaff. It's never been that well-distributed in this country, unfortunately.

Funny you should mention it j, I happen to like the look of the Belstaff jackets but have yet to find any in the states until checking out the men's store at all places Wynn Las Vegas. They had a decent selection of about 5 different styles, was tempted to pick one up but didn't....

I have a Cycle Guide magazine from 1974 - the issue with my motorcycle featured, which came with the bike when I got it. There were mail order vendors selling Belstaff back then, and I know certain moto shops can order and get it for you, but there is a serious dearth of stockists. I may never see one in my life unless I order one or go specifically looking in a bigger city.

I saw a feature on Wynn Las Vegas the other day and they mentioned the clothing shops there - sounds like their buyer is at least in touch with the current trends, if not in possession of unusually good taste.

BTW I have heard pretty bad things about some of their "waterproof" synthetic motorcycle jackets leaking, coming apart at the seams, etc. They used to have a reputation for indestructibility, but it sounds like some of their QC is slipping recently...
