I am looking for some advice on how to reduce my flabby stomach, I have tried various forms of situps, but I am not getting the results.

I currently run about 20+ miles a week in preperation for the Toronto half Marathon in September and to be honest I am the fitest I have ever been, I go to the gym 4 times a week for weight sessions but can not seem to shift the flab around the olve handle area.

I am wandering what is recommended as the best form of excercise to help reduce this, please help!

If you go to the gym 4 times a week and run 20 mi a week, then the only thing that could be your problem is diet.

I had a similar issue while training and it was largely diet related (I was always so starving after working out a lot that I was eating a ton). So, lately I've been substituting some slimfast shakes here and there and it seems to be working.

I'd imagine it's better to eat the same amount, but "cleaner", ie less fat rather than starve yourself since you are working out so much. Then again, I'm naturally skinny so I'm talking out of ****** here.

also remember, it's not just what you eat, it's also when.

I'm guessing you're talking about at night vs. breakfast and stuff, in which case you're totally wrong.

yeah try to eat lean meats (turkey chicken fish ect.) in the place of fattier ones (beef, pork ect.) also instead of getting some thing fried grill it. try to eat almost no fat except for some of the healthy fats (ones that are liquid at room temperature.) and try not to eat those with carbs because without carbs you will not absorb the fat you don't need vs. with carbs you will absorb it all. and as syl mention its also when you eat so try not to eat 3 hours before bed because your body will not really process those foods.

Why do you feel the need to be an asshole in every thread? You have the knowledge and yes people should look at all the other millions of other threads that ask the same questions, but come on now...
