+1 Women are very attracted to a bit of "peacocking" in a man's dress. You shouldn't take it too far lest you look like a douchebag or a clown; as the OP says, the right approach is to dial it back but still dress with some daring. Dressing in this manner demonstrates to women that a man has confidence and individuality, and thus a higher status, than the Dockers and button down masses.

If interpreted too conservatively, the classic style can be awfully boring and fuddy-duddy, which I'm sure is not attractive to many women-particularly not the kind I aim to attract.
