I was thinking about getting this sweater, but... it looks kinda similar to skin colour.

Would wearing such a sweater be kinda weird? Serious question for real.

I dont think I have ever seen anyone wearing a beige sweater in the wild, it is not the most popular colour and why is that?

Probably because, as you say, it's a colour that either looks too similar to many skin tones, or else is not the most appealing. Favourite colours do not usually tend towards beige.

Besides which, it's a very neutral colour and doesn't make as much of an interesting contrast as something like black or grey could.

That's not to say it can never look good, but I'd recommend trying it in person.

Creepy? A person acting creepy would be creepy. A camel color like that is pretty classic.

I was thinking like if you wear a beige sweater it would look like you are not wearing a top at all if seen from far away.

There's nothing inherently creepy about beige. At least I hope that there isn't, because my mother likes beige.

There only thing creepy in that image is that the model looks like the next public thing that his face, albeit probably with stubble and bags under his eyes, might appear in is a sex offender registry.

Does anyone have any good fit/wear example pics of beige sweaters? I don't see many in Google Image search results.

It's a pretty normal sweater color--I have one in this color. In person, sweater material also looks very different than skin, even from a distance. If you are worried about this, a shirt collar peeking above the sweater can help separate the skin from the sweater.

What you're calling beige, but what @Phileas Fogg called camel is a classic color for a reason. I have a cashmere sweater from Johnston's of Elgin in exactly that color and a couple of overcoats, too. I don't have a picture wearing the sweater, though, I'm afraid. But the color is a classic for a reason.

On the other hand, if you're trying this hard to like it, I suspect that you wouldn't be happy with it if you bought it. Buy a color that you like.

There's nothing wrong with beige sweaters. It will not look like your skin because your skin has a different texture and shade.

If you want a very safe color, try navy or grey. Choose a color that will be different from most pants you wear. If you normally wear grey trousers, then get a navy sweater. If you normally wear blue jeans, then get a grey sweater.

I keep a beige cashmere v neck in my rotation. I usually wear mine with grey trousers and a pale blue shirt underneath. It works really well to layer on when ditching my suit jacket at home or for the evening. Occasionally I’ll layer it over a shirt under a light weight blue Luciano Barbera rain coat too. I do prefer beige against medium greys or darker as opposed to light grey.
