Not sure if anyone has pointed it out yet, but all arguments for or against religion are begging the question.

I disagree. If by "religion" you mean "god" or "gods" or whatever, your statement is somewhat more accurate. But I still think there's a difference between (1) deciding or recognizing that a particular question cannot be answered definitively by the application of logic to empirical fact; and (2) disingenuously or inartfully structuring an argument such that it assumes its own conclusion. (2) is what "begging the question" really refers to.

You're right, I wasn't being specific. I was thinking of all the times people have cited religious text to me when trying to convert me. That is begging the question, no?
