Of all the different beers I've drank (at past count, 200ish) I've never had a saison... I rarely see them here. Next time I'm in the states I'll have to try some, the bottle shop near my parents place has some saisons, according to their site.

I had a kuhnhenn bourbon barrel barley wine last night.
Its the first beer i had since starting a raw food diet.
At 14.50% ABV that beer kicked ******.

Not at all like Portu beer, but definitely good in it's own right!

You can get Westy 12 at select brewpubs. I know that Volo in Toronto supposedly keeps a stock if you're willing to drop $35 on a single bottle. My friend is going to try to get to Westvleteren sometime while he's on exchange in Germany (4-5 hours drive from Westvleteren abbey I believe) and bring back a 24

You can ebay 6 packs (westy 12, 8, and 6) for like $120 I think?

I'd probably do that if I had the cash. Try one of each now, and cellar the rest for a year or two.

I've had the 12 and 6. They are great, but not worth that kind of money.

Even though I've never tasted the two Great Divide beers, I'm virtually certian they won't be better than the amazing Goose Island Bourbon Barrel. Got a split six of the two Great Divides and a four or the Goose Island.
