I knew some hardcore drunks that had trouble getting nutrition. Into their pint they often put 2-3 ounces of tomato juice.

Beer + tomato juice is drinkable. Not sure I'd ever do it myself, though.

Radlers can be good for hot days. I remember having my first in Munich and being surprised about it tasting so good. Then, of course, I quickly realized I was ordering half a beer with some lemonade so I took off my training bra and got back to drinking a full glass of beer like a big boy.

Our German student ordered a beer and sprite while we were in Rome, this raised a few eyebrows, but he got what he wanted and was happy with it. Remember, he's German. I thought WTF?

    In France is le panachÃ[IMG]

I love good beer too much to mix it with anything other than the acid that's in my stomach.

I had another epiphany last night. Shandys are really really good for drinking the beer that you're not so fond of. I had some leftover bottles of Shiner Blonde that I do not like on their own. Add some lemonade and presto - love at first gulp!

Beer + a shot of Jameson.

if you do it with guiness and add some baileys, kaboom! i once did three of them at a bar in an hour and woke up the next morning on some girls couch. very interesting!

i think it mexico i was drinking salted glasses of corona with a bit of lime/lemon juice in them, and some ice. i forget what it was called, but it was pretty effective at keeping your drink cold.

more of a hot day at the beach/pool type drink, though.

there was another drink that may have involved clam juice and beer. and maybe some red stuff. didn't like it, didn't inquire further.

There's the college student drink in England known as a Snakebite, which I believe is lager, cider, and creme de cassis. Sounds awful. My wife had a few after hockey games and remembers them fondly, but none for me thanks.

Then there's the Black Velvet, supposedly created for the funeral of Prince Albert (correct?), when even the champagne needed to be draped in black. Half stout, half champagne.

    - Monaco (beer + lemonade + grenadine syrup)
    - twist (beer + lemon juice)
    - tango (beer + grenadine syrup)
