One time I was in a local bar whose glory days are long gone; in fact, I am hard-pressed to remember why I was in there. Nostalgia, maybe. During my brief visit, a local barfly came in, looking decidedly in need of a drink, and began whining that with all the money she spent in that bar, they should buy her one. The bartender, the two or three other patrons and I endured this whining for about two minutes before the bartender took the easy way out.
He poured her a shot of Cynar.
She didn't look too pleased, but she shut up and drank it.
I've never had it, but I never wanted to, especially after that.
