Have been away from menswear for a while, job taking me away from the need for shirting and suits. Was broke during the last period I dressed proper, stuck with TM Lewin for the most part for shirts. Have watched some youtube videos and have seen mention several new brands that I am unfamiliar with.

Given that I am still relatively broke (public service sector), where is the best value? I would place an emphasis on fit and durability, and just need basics, nothing too extravagant. I'm the sort of wide neck/shoulders/chest but narrow waist kinda guy so it's difficult to find a shirt that fits me well OTR.

Thanks!

Urban dictionary tells me DTC means "down to cuddle" or "down to churro".

May need some flannels with that.

You have to go MTM with that combination.

I usually go with S&M for value. Their OTR shirts are a great value, but their MTM shirts are inconsistent I've found.

Kamakura Shirts.

Many different cuts, many different fabrics, Japanese company, free shipping in the US with orders over $138, almost all shirts either $89 or $99. I don't think you can do better.

Kamakura is higher quality but may still be too pricey. I second S&M. Tyrwhitt is also a very good value at $50 (or less) for dress shirts.
