I had them tonight, in a nice Zinfandel sauce.
Good stuff.

Tell me you love them.

I have had both pork and beef cheeks. Pork are great but the beef ones I ate were truly fantastic. They were marinated and then braised for days or something. The knife just flowed through them without pressure. Came with truffle scented potato puree.

Haven't had them before. Although I like the idea of eating animal cheeks, I wouldn't even know where to find them locally. I don't think I've ever seen them for sale. Maybe I'll go ask the local butcher today. My gf wants steak for dinner.

Are beef cheeks actual face cheeks or butt cheeks or what? Last time I ate them they were delicious regardless. El Willy in Shanghai served them with banana.

I really like them. Slow braised in wine and stock. Had a nice tapas dish recently of some braised cheek and tongue. I wish they were easier to find through my local butchers.

I love them. Pork cheeks, beef cheeks, veal cheeks. All delicious in my book when braised slowly.

Additionally, try halibut cheeks if you ever see them on a menu. Don't recall where I ate them, but they were fabulous.

Only had beef cheeks once, in Batali's supposedly signature "beef cheek ravioli." I thought it tasted like chef boyardee.

The jowl - such an underappreciated appendage!

I'll be on the lookout for tuna cheeks.

My favorite is my Aunt's Estofado. She uses beef cheeks to prepare them....yummy!
