This tie I find gorgeous for its understated simplicity. But does anyone think it might be fake? Just given that it's coming from Lebanon and the seller has a hotmail address. What does everyone think?

This seller has been discussed here before, I think. Do a search for Lebanon.

From the pic, I'd say it's real.

yeah, I looked, and nothing under label_deal or Lebanon turned up. Any idea how I might find that thread?

I can't imagine someone going through the effort of faking the Santostefano brass keeper. Looks real to me (good price).

I have a personal policy now that prevents me from buying anything from people outside of America on ebay. I've just been ripped off too many times. It's really frustrating. I especially would NOT buy from an international seller with feedback less than 10, although I would consider it if they had feedback higher than 1000. It is worthwhile to note that I made a purchase for one of my side businesses (an ISP) of an $800 console KMM, and was ripped off, and the seller was from Canada and had feedback of about 700. Point being, be VERY careful with internation sellers with little feedback - 95% of time you will have problems.

I guess I'll find out  [IMG]  It's a really beautiful tie, and one thing I liked was the money back gurantee, no questions asked. Not many Ebay sellers offer that, and that convinced me. If it's a ripoff, I'm out about $50. I have no expertise to tell if it's a real Brioni. Can anyone tell me what to look for?

I bought a Brioni tie from a seller in Lebanon a while back. The auction looked very similar to the one in question. I got the tie in three days and was very pleased. I am not an expert, but the quality seems just as good as all my other Brioni ties purchased in department stores. If it's a fake, it's a very, very good one.
