I've been drooling over these for over a month, though can't seem to justify the cost, particularly since I can't find this model of shoe anywhere else, wanted to get thoughts from others:

The Sutor antiqued wingtips Lance is selling would've eliminated these, but I can't justify Dainite soles in Canada, where nobody can repair them (or at least claim to, anyway).

meh, they look nice from far but closer/bigger pics make them look a little 'chunky'. and the antiquing job isn't doing it for me. take my opinion with a pinch of salt, but that's just my first impression.

Personally, I find them disgusting. The toes are too square and the braided welt is just ugly. The attention to detail is severely lacking for a shoe that allegedly has an $825 MSRP. For example, the antiquing looks very cheap and haphazardly done; the tanning of the soles' leather looks incredibly uneven, and the edging is blotchy; and when looking at the picture from above, it looks as if the leather was streched unevenly over the last, giving it an almost wavy look.

For the same money, you can find a spectacular pair of Edward Green or similar quality shoes on eBay. The quality and attention to detail of the EGs will make these shoes look like a Dollar General child's watch next to a Patek.
