Agreed. Besides the last issue, bluchers and saddle shoes seem a strange model for gator.

I understand. But with exotics it's not always about the last..
Sometimes it's about the skin. You've got to see them for yourself, then comment.

i disagree. last is VERY important...hand in hand with the scaling. personally, id never buy gators from AE. ever. the shoe just doesnt appeal to me in the least...and i LOVE gators.

I sorta like the PTB - but only because it's shapeless shape seems rather appropriate to the makeup. And I like the contrast between the elegance of the hide and the simple shape of the last.

The saddle shoes etc. etc. just don't work for me. I'd rather see the hide unimpeded by the various pieces and the stitching.

Another +1 to the "wrong last for gator" club. AE has a few that would look pretty good, but they put it on just about the clunkiest last they have.
