Hi all - new member here. Would love to hear some insights.

Attending a wedding in Vero Beach, FL this weekend. Attire is "beach chic."

Plan is to wear a tan suit with solid light blue shirt, matching pocket square, no tie, brown belt.

Questions are:

1. Is the no tie decision a good one?

2. What should I do for shoes? Brown laced shoes? Nice leather sandals?

Well, I obviously don't know the couple getting married, but the phrase 'beach chic' suggests to me that you'll be fine without a tie.

Shoes on a beach are difficult, you could always go with some nice spectators but if you decide normal shoes might be a bit uncomfortable with the sand etc then I would personally rather go with flip-flops or espadrilles than sandals. These may all look rather incongruous with a suit though.

yeah +1 on what SM said. no tie. a navy pair of espadrilles would kill. they're cheap anyway.
