Im graduating university this year, and the grad class as a group is all going Punta Cana for a week. I've never been to a resort before, let alone for an entire week, and I have no idea what to take for clothing.
I need stuff for everything, beach wear, strolling around the city wear, to going to clubs at night.

All I know so far is that I need a couple swim suits (under 80$), and I already have decent shoes for casual walking around (Sperry Topsider). Other than that, I have no idea what to get.... Im a young guy, with an extremely athletic body, out to have one giant party on a beach for a week with hundreds of women my age..... I kinda want to make the right impression haha.

This hardly distinguishes you from 99% of the Senior Members here.

I won't tell you what to wear. I will, however, suggest that you avoid wearing one thing: a sombrero.

There are several threads here (you can search) where hat-besotted members assumed, because Punta Cana sounds vaguely Mexican and because of the semi-tropical location, a sombrero was just the thing. There are some good photographs of members emerging into the Dominican sun from the plane, still squinting despite the shade from their sombreros.

Don't do it.

Solid advice.... I am actually looking for a hat, but something cheap (drinking, plus beach=lost hat). Im thinking about grabbing a cream blazer for the vacation as well.

Firstly my friend, have a look at this: http://travel.state.gov/travel/cis_p.../cis_1103.html.
I travel all around the world and always get to know my surroundings...I'm crazy like that. Anyway, on to the sartorial portion of this response:

Shorts and short sleeve shirst are the order of the day for beach and strolling around attire. Doesn't have to be anything fancy. Keep it simple.
