Depends on the tie. Some of my ties have never given me a dimple. Others do it naturally on the first try, including the tie I am wearing today.

I can't vouch for the quality of their merchandise, but the folks at Bachrach sure know how to tie neckwear.

Not really, except I have one tie that refuses to form a nice dimple.

I'm getting better at getting the dimple but it isn't always perfect. It really depends on the thickness of the tie or how it's made.

I figure if the dimple kind of looks like a ****** then I'm good to go.
