just bought a pair last night. if i want these to fade well should i wait a while until washing or is it fine to wash it right away / multiple times.

Sounds like your first pair of one-wash jeans. The idea is to wear them in for a few months and then wash them. Otherwise, you're just going to wash away all the extra indigo.

thanks. are levis 501 stf the same way? because i did the soak and wear till dry method on those. does that mean all the indigo is gone so i can't fade them any longer?

You have to understand there's different ways to "wash".

You "wash" STF 501s to shrink them down to correct size in the sense that you soaked/wore them. If you intend on getting them worn in the way you see in "Denim Pics" you shouldn't be washing them again for several months (perhaps unless cold) to preserve the dark color of the indigo. More washes=less indigo=less contrast on fading. Some people might even argue you shouldn't have washed them at all since they look fine the way they are.
Just think that any time you wash you're going to remove more and more indigo but that the amount varies on water temp, soak vs wash, etc.

Now the only reason why you'd wash the BDGs is to get them clean. They're not going to shrink anymore since they are a one-wash. Just wear them till the smell like a rotting dog in the afternoon sun (ie 6 months or even longer). I think once you wear them after a solid month, you'll begin to notice fading and see the value in all this not-washing business.

Weird. I have a pair of BDG jeans from 8 or 9 years ago - I got 'em on sale at Urban Outfitters. I think they still have them there, so they might be some sort of Urban in-house brand.

i picked up a pair of bdg one wash a few weeks ago. it's alright, but i almost perfer Gap's pigment dipped one wash. Still, don't expect the raw quality of APC or Nudies, but it's a good cheap alternative. Both the bDG and GAP one washes are great for beating the crap out of.

Which is exactly why I bought them...$40 for an experiment one-wash? Perfect. Take pics for us as they come along, dryice. I don't think anyone on this forum has worn theirs in yet. I don't plan on getting started on mine until Feb.

Either NYC or one of the three NJ Stores. Sorry, don't have paypal so don't even try asking me if I'll pick up a pair.

I started putting the BDG's in my rotation since the RRL's are creasing nicely after 3 months. Has anyone made any progress with their pair so far?
