I tried on a BBBF suit today and really liked the way it looked on me. The shorter jacket seems to fit my proportions well. My question is when I could actually wear it. Is this suitable for office wear?

Depends. If you're wearing a BBBF in a reasonable fashion (i.e. not like TB himself wears suits), then yes. If you size up in BBBF and hem the pants to a normal break, then it is just a well-made, slim-fitting suit.

Of course, in that case, you are arguably missing the point of Thom Browne. But who gives a **** about that.

I don't think the jacket is slim fitting if you size up. Just boxier and still too short conventionally

A few pics of BBBF suits worn presumably in business settings have been posted in the WAYWN thread. Pics by Lufty, Holdfast, and gregaz come to mind. The suits looked good in the pics.

It depends how tall you are. I'm 5'8" and the jacket length is completely conventional on me. Some of the jackets do have some really really thin lapels though.

How effectively can you size up when there are only six sizes?

I wear mine to court all the time. Just don't get the sleeves super short like they are this season in the pictures. As long as you're not showing four inches of cuff, no one will notice.

I don't hesitate to wear mine in business and formal settings either.

I assume you are a lawyer, not the accused?
