BB Peal (C&J) wholecuts ... fit ... compared to C&J Weymouth??

I recently purchased a pair of BB Peal 'wholecuts' ... the tan floating medalion. Searches on the forum before buying led me to believe this shoe to be by C&J, and after the fact I tend to agree. Of note,
* one row of nails on the heel, reputed to be a sign of C&J Peals
* written on the inside of the shoe ... 22068 11D
and underneath that, ... 318

I suppose that means these shoes (sized 11D for the US market) are on the 318 last.

The fit is snug but comfortable. I wouldn't want them to be any smaller, and a bit more room would be fine, but as-is is fine too.

I anticipate ordering a pair of C&J Weymouths in the near future (on the 337 last) and am wondering if anyone out there with experience of these two lasts can comment about what English size I should order given my experience with the US-sized Peals mentioned above.

Many thanks in advance

'need' ... 'want' ... once you get past "two pair of shoes so each can air out for a day after a day of wearing" it's all pretty much lust, obsession, and a love of beautiful things.

I have the Peals in what they marked a US 10. I have the Weymouth in UK 9.5. A fairly similar fit.

So, were I you, I'd go with the UK 10.5

Agree, but I'd go with a different CJ model, doesn't make much sense to buy identical shoes (at least to me),but those are nice shoes,I have the peal wholecuts myself, very comfortable.

Thanks! Are your Weymouths a bit more snug (which I would hope to avoid)? If 'fairly similar' means Weymouths that are a bit roomier, that's fine.

I take your point and agree in theory. It's just that I am really really keen on wholecuts. It may make me a bit

It seems to me that the BB shoes made by CJ are slightly narrower than an actual CJ E width. I know that the CJ made Polo shoes are slightly narrower than a CJ 337 in an E width. Personally, I found the 337 last to be quite spacious, whereas I found the Polo by CJ and the Peal shoes made by CJ to be slightly snugger (based on what I own and have tried on at BB).

The Weymouths are a little looser. And wholecut will tend to stretch more anyway.

My tan Peal wholecuts are a size 10 D US (9.5E UK) and my Weymouths are size 9.5 E UK. I normally wear a 10.5 D US.

I think the Weymouth looks better but the Peal shoes are a better fit.
