A few questions about the Brooks Brothers Made to Measure Dress Shirt program. (BTW, I'm talking about the actual in-store MTM option; not the online select program.)

    1. What is the general cost of the shirts? I couldn't seem to find this answer using the search function.

    2. I got conflicting data on whether the MTM shirts are truly made to measure, i.e., will the armholes be smaller than on a OTR BB shirt?

    Thanks!

    1) Starts about $140 and goes to well over $300

    2) You will be getting a shirt from Brooks Brothers. High armhole is not a concept they understand.

    1. $127.50 (IIRC)

    2. You can have all the same styling details as a Charles Tyrwhitt (for example) shirt for about twice the price. The armholes are no different than the OTR shirts.

    3. Keep in mind I might have done it wrong

In general I like the shirt I ended up with, but this was not the simplest or most cost effective way to get what I wanted. I do not require my shirts to be extemely fitted; if you do you will be even less thrilled than I was.

Brooks Brother offers two options. Online/catalog/store offers Select, which is a customization of an off the rack shirt. Neck size, arm length, snd body style (slim, trad, regular) , the collar and cuffs, shirt front, pleats, pocket or no. Price rangers from $127.50 to ~375. Not MTM.

The Made to Measure offers a full ranger of options, including reducing the bicep, which raises the arm hole. other options include differing sleeve lengths; differing cuff sizes; lengthening or shortening the body; and reducing or enlarging the body of the shirt; raising or lowering the collar band, two button collar band. There are other options, these are the ones I remember form the form. True MTM.

There' s quite a selection of fabrics, from 80s pinpoint and oxfords ($150 MTM) to WISICA Sea Island Cotton (395 MTM) .

I've had one shirt MTM, and one select.
