BB Dress shirt fitting question

My measurements:

Chest: 44 in"
Waist: 32 in"
Shoulders (around): 49-50"
Neck: 16.5-17"

My build is somewhere in between swimmer and amateur bodybuilder.

I recently went to BB to get some new dress shirts. I tried on the 17" slim, but there was just way too much billow in the waist. I ended up getting the 16.5" slim, which still billows, but isn't as bad. One of the dress shirts the sales associate pulled out for me on accident was a 16" slim. I tried it on unknowingly, and the billowing was definitely better than the 16.5". The chest is pretty tight though, and I'm worried that it'll be unwearable if it shrinks. The same applies to the neck size.

I'm wondering if I should order a 17" or 16.5" extra slim online. They didn't have any in my length at the store (34") so I didn't try them on. I'm worried that they'll be too tight in the chest though, and I heard they have small arm holes and shoulder widths. Will a 17" ESF be slimmer than a 16.5" slim anyway? Should I just get the 16.5" slims tailored or should I just suck it up and have some billow?
