Dear Folks:

Here it is - the first list of the new year.

Heading it is the shirtmaven shirt sale, which continues. Still many great shirts from Barneys, the Andover Shop, Ben Silver and others. They all have a buy it now option. Eight sold on New Year's Day, so if you see something you like, just pull the trigger.

Among the gently used shirts are a great yellow herringbone twill from Thomas Pink, a semi-casual shirt from Zegna with a camp or 'cooper' collar, and a sleek black and red clubbing shirt from the Trend line of Corneliani. The Smalto tab collar is also quite elegant.

Among the suits, sport coats and pants are a great tweed coat from Chipp, a rare camel hair blazer from Brooks, a new w/tag pair of striped trousers from Comme des Garcons and a BB custom suit in blue and black nailhead.

There are also many nice ties including ones from Robert Talbott and Tino Cosma. The Grigio Perla has both cashmere and a superb shade of blue for the confident dressers that populate these boards.

There is also one BB repp stripe made of Quiana Nylon. Note how how BB preserves the Quiana font styling on their own label. The unnaturally brilliant colors should appeal to those into denim & streetwear, as well as dissident tradsters who want to wear something synthetic on the sly.

Starting bids are low - many under ten dollars.

I'm sure many of the brands are -- Thomas Pink, Dolce, Zegna, etc.

How this affects me in 2007 is unknown. Basically, everything is fine until it isn't.
