I am thinking about buying this one, which I happen to think is rather classy without overdoing it. But I'd like to hear your agreements and objections. Also, would this a jacket be suitable for fall/winter as well? [IMG] Brooks Brothers Walking Coat  Lightweight water-repellent pure cotton is ideal for spring weather. Three-quarter length style has a hidden zipper and button placket closure. Drawstring waist, front pockets and Brooks Brothers' signature plaid lining. Dry clean. Imported. 477N  $148.00

That's a nice looking coat. I have one in a similar style and color, and wear it constantly.

    A good purchase, I think.

Good looking coat. Appears to be good price. Might be able to get it cheaper, but is it worth all the aggravation and time spent looking to save $20?
I recently purchased one that looks similar in style, but in black for $155. CDN., and this was the sale price.

Very nice coat. Good price too. But I'm guessing it'd be too light for winter. Of course, that would depend on what winters are like where you're located.

I'm sorry, I wasn't thinking in my last post [IMG] I guess I was concerned whether beige would be an acceptable color for all seasons (e.g. could it serve as a coat during early fall and a raincoat during the summer?) Thanks.

My primary winter jacket is light tan in color. Not a popular choice - most people go for darker colors during the colder months. It does get dirty easily but I still like wearing it.

i have a loro piana coat that is similar in colour and style to this coat, although it is lined for fall/winter use

as such, although this one appears to be constructed for spring or fall usage, colourwise, it's fine for the fall and winter
