I wouldn't be surprised if they include some of that footage as an extra on the disk. It just may not be re-cut back into the film, as a typical Directors Cut would have. That's my guess on why these rumors are floating around.

Complete list of The Dark Knight Rises bonus features:

Maybe there will be something in the Gotham's Reckoning feature about Bane's origins.

I hope so; I know there was a lot of backlash about his voice but I enjoyed the hell out of Bane. I was disappointed we didn't see more about his origins and how he got offed in a snappy one-liner scene.

Guys.... Rent this. I couldn't have been happier with how they have handled the material so far. Sure some stuff got cut from the story, but that's to be expected. Can't wait for part 2.

I've been hearing nothing but good things. I have it in my netflix queue but I might just have to go redbox it.

Edit: Not released on netflix until next month, I guess red box it is.

It makes me sad seeing the three movies listed like that. No more movies. Trilogy is done. Nolan has closed the book on Batman. :freeze:

    What a ride it was.

You can just PPV it. I use the Amazon Video app for my PS3, but VULU and iTunes also have it.

Saw this last night. The movie is dope. Was planning on reading it, but why do that when I can watch it?

Anyway. It's good. Does part 2 come out this year or next spring?

Part two hits in 2013. I'd still read it as it's a classic and the animated version is missing some stuff that expands on the overall story.

Saw this and really liked it. The amazon one and two star reviews for it are cringeworthy.
Most of the DC movies have been pretty top notch (Under the Red hood was excellent) and the current Young Justice TV series is suprisingly good (and has been getting dark).

Think I'd want to reach across the screen and slap someone who gave it a one or two star review. I can't imagine what they complained about other then being nit-picky comic fans who couldn't stand the idea that some of the material didn't make it.

Now if we can just get a decent animated version of Kingdom Come, I may die happy.

My favourite parts were the ones with Carrie Kelly's college friends calling Batman a fascist, civil liberties, being high etc etc. Sums up pretty much everyone i know.
