About 20 years ago I bought a pair of Bass weejun oxfords. They were
great casual shoes and after resoling them several times I threw them
away because I had picked up a replacement pair at a Bass outlet which I had stuffed in the back of a closet. Now, sadly they too have seen better days. I don't have a picture to share but they remind me a lot of the alden cape cod oxford.

I keep hoping a pair will pop up on ebay but no luck.

Anybody have experince with the Alden Moc toe Cape Cod shoe?

The bass version is very common. Try zappos. Dunno about the Alden version, except it's likely to be higher quality and a lot more pricey.

The Model I am talking about is not the slip on or tassel loafer but
a tie shoe.

Thanks

I believe the shoes you are trying to find were referred to as Bass Moccasins. Generally, an unlined shoe lace up shoe, in pebble grained leather, fairly plain other than the mocassin toe. I'd sure like to find another pair of those in brown. If Chris has them, hope he will let us know.

Chris: do you know of any places that might have New Old Stock Bass weejuns? (That is, the actual weejun model)??
