This is my first post here; sorry if it's in the wrong forum.
TL;DR: cotton or polyester for hot, humid work days?
I do some light manual labor outside at an animal shelter in Louisiana, where the average high for august is 92 and the average relative humidity is 80%. When I'm not outside, I'm baking in the all-metal dog wing with a couple of industrial fans to cool me down.
Needless to say, I sweat a lot. I've always been a sweaty person (dark skinned and hairy), but it's pretty much constant in the summer months.
I'm getting a baseball cap (black, unfortunately, to support my beloved Marlins), and my only options are between 100% cotton and 100% polyester.
Which should I opt for?
