Barneys New York Suit/Overcoat

Swung by Barneys on Sunday, and saw their in-house label suit for $599 and 100% Cashmere overcoat for $1100 and want to know if anyone had prior experience with them.


Suit: From the tag, it seems it's made by Caruso. Full Canvassed I believe.

Overcoat: LP fabric, and unknown maker, no tag...

The cashmere one seems quite nice. I tried on the 38/48R and it was just a little too loose for me so it was a no go. I couldn't find a 36/46 and don't know if they make one. If it fits you well, I think it's certainly a fair price. Nice LP cashmere, made by Caruso.

Did you see the tag for the overcoat?

The suits appear to be made by Caruso as well. For the money the house stuff looks great.

For the 1100 price, i feel it's a little steep...cause i can't tell who the manufacture is. On the otherhand BB is selling their GF 100% LP cashemere for like $30 more....

Both are Caruso and top-notch in that price range.

My friend recently bought a Barney's suit and a Lanvin suit at Barney's that are both made by Caruso. The Lanvin suit has more handwork and better fabric but there was a huge price gap between the two.

Also, Caruso updated their in-pocket tags. They look similar to the old ones and are still made of silky fabric.

I would wait on the suit, you can usually get them in the wearhouse sale for under 400. Both suit and overcoat are made by Caruso, and very nicely made.
I was tempted by the overcoat as well, but I resisted and hoping they will make to the wearhouse sale in Feb.
