This store always seems to be in trouble...they did so much better when there was just 1 store on 17th street.

Istithmar's purchase of Barneys left the chain, which has nearly 40 stores and outlets, burdened by heavy debt and weakened credit. Barneys, based in New York, was relying on sales from new store openings to pay the interest on that debt, analysts at Moody's Investors Service said.
