Barker Black... Thoughts

I bought my first pair of Barker Black shoes about a year ago. I loved them and have since become hooked. I have 5 pairs now. Their brown leathers are better than their black. They look great, are super comfy and have held up well (although I haven't had them long). I think they are some of the most fashion forward shoes out there now. There are some people bad mouthing them, but I don't know that I would get anything else (although again I am not nuts about their black leathers). I hope their new line for fall is great and I can't wait to see their suits when they come out. I would even take brown BB's over JL's and EG's. Maybe I am stupid... What are your thoughts?

My thoughts are that you should purchase what you like, and like what you purchase.

I have two pairs of Barker Blacks myself, and I'm quite fond of them.

Yeah man, if it makes you happy, you like the way you look, your look gives you confidence, then it doesn't really matter what people on the forum say. I don't own any Barker Blacks myself, but I'm contemplating purchasing a pair (and probably would if I didn't work til 9 pm every night and had time to go into Saks or the BB store).

I will probably hold off on additions until they start to go on sale.

Is Pediwear the preferred source, or are there other places to get them?

I don't think Pediwear sells Barker Black, just Barker

Neiman Marcus has a bunch, they look amazing, I really want them! $695 for the black loafers with the chrome 'bones' logo on top.

Every time I say no more shoes, something like that arrives...

As I recall they were introduced only at NM and Saks and only in SF and NY.

I suspect that has broadened by now.

They've carried them at the Saks in Chevy Chase, MD for quite some time - I believe they were in the first round of Saks to carry them.

Oy, my mistake for posting prior to coffee.
