Was contemplating getting a vintage barbour, but just walking around NYC and literary you see the barbour jackets everywhere now, women and men. It's ridiculous,, I was in the metro and in arms length there was three barbours, don't want to look like i fell out of the Jcrew look book, but it sucks since there one of a few companies that makes quality xs size coats. Do you think I should wait a couple of years when people start to unload them on ebay when it's not cool any more. what do people think trend or not.

I think that Barbour coats are excellent and if you want one you should buy one. You'll have it the rest of your life, and it will get better with age. Who cares how many other people own one?

If you like it, buy it. Pretty simple. Wearing clothes should be fun and be useful for your particular lifestyle. If those conditions are met, who cares how many other people own it?

Thats a good point and thinking bout it, I'm not going to the county side to hunt and fish and to be honest the jackets are not particulrly warm either unless you get a lining or wear thick sweaters. I still want one but will wait untill they start to saturate the ebay market.

Well, lots of people wear jeans, too, but I assume that you still wear them?

In all seriousness, if you like something, if it is well-made, and if it will serve you well, you should simply but it and wear it without worrying whether one, one hundred or one thousand other people are wearing it.
