Barbour Jacket Source?

Looking for a Barbour quilted jacket similar to the one in the Orvis link below. This one has a dense fleece lining and only comes in green. I would prefer model with different lining.

Orvis calls the jacket "Barbour Warm Fleece-Lined Polarquilt Jacket". Any idea on what Barbour may call it or where it can be found in NYC or online? Any reputable Barbour discount sites out there?

I believe that jacket is known as the "Allendale" from Barbour. I ordered one from SierraTradingPost.com last month in black with an ice-blue lining. I love it and I think I paid less then $100. STP may still have some left. They run large, I am usually medium or small but I needed to get an XS in this style. Good luck!

What sort of lining would you like? I have several Barbours. The quilted microfiber jacket with the Barbour lining is called the Eskdale. The quilted unlined nylon model is called the Liddesdale, I believe. If you like this sort of jacket and don't need the Barbour name, take a look at some of the jackets offered by the equestrian supplier Lavenham. As hossoso notes, STP can be a good source. I'm sure a google search with the specific models would turn up some good deals.

I have ordered several jackets from fischersbarbour.com, which appears to be a family run department store in Wisconsin. They have sales occasionally where you can get some good deals, but they normally stock a large selection and are very helpful with orders.

These two models seem to have a slightly different collar than the model offered at Orvis. I would prefer a light lining, maybe light fleece. The Orvis model is a very high pile, not-so-soft fleece.


I noticed alot of Barbour on STP, but was hesitant because they are marked "seconds". I'll look into the other brand that was mentioned as well.

I honestly don't recall if my Allendale was marked as a "second" or not but I can't find any flaws in the jacket. Fall is setting in here in Seattle and I have been using the jacket frequently. I am still surprised at their sizing. I am
5'11" & 160 pounds, thin but not slight, and I can still layer a sweater and shirt underneath my XS.
The jacket you pictured (or very close), quilted with the neck-fastening strap, is indeed called the Allendale. It is in-stock at Sierra Trading Post in various colors and sizes for $99, it is not marked as a "second".

I have ordered many Barbour items from Fischer's Barbour in Wisconsin. They have everything. Service and advice is great. There was no problem when I had to return an item.

I bought a black beaufort last fall. Prices are often better than in the USA and service and delivery are fab. They seem to have a lot of services too if you want to follow up and/or read about them. I need to get a green beaufort now.

The interior is polyamide (not sure what that is), soft, smooth and quilted--same as the exterior. The interior of the XS black one that I kept is ice-blue, the interior of the S black one that I returned was burgundy. The collar piece is stitched on and is not meant to be removable but it looks like, with the minimal stitching that is used, it could be removed easily without any visible effects to the jacket. Though I would never be so forward as to tell someone how to spend thier money, STP has an incredibly liberal return policy.

I'm really not sure which one I want. I like the exterior of the Orvis model, but not the interior.

The second you listed seems to be exactly the same as Orvis. The first is similar, but the exterior seems to be a different finish/fabric.
