Morning chaps.
I am looking at buying a Barbour Border jacket. That style of jacket is one that I have appreciated and have decided to make the twenty year investment into one. The problem arises with sizing. I wear a 44L in suit jackets and so I was wondering if, in order to get the best fit, seeing as I would at least wear a jumper underneath it, I would need to go up to a 46? Chances are I wouldn't wear a suit jacket underneath it at all (I have a beautiful wool double breasted coat for that) but would a 44 be too small for layering?
Any help on the matter would be much appreciated.
P.S. I know that the best way to find out the right size for me is to go to a shop and try them on but I have gone over my town with a fine comb and found nary a Border anywhere.
Thanks!
