I don't know if it's official, but I've read that Demi Moore is producing a live action adaption of the Barbie doll. Supposedly, her first choice for the role of Ken is Ethan Hawke. I know that this sounds ridiculous, but for some odd reason it interests me. I think I'm more curious about how a live action movie could be pulled out. My first predictions say it will suck, if it's even getting made. Just for the heck of it, I'll say who I think could ace the Barbie role: Emily Blunt.

That girl looks like Barbie to me. Put some blond hair on her and drop the English accent and VOILA! Plus, she can act her butt off.

Don't be scared of it. Embrace it. lol The movie seems to be ridiculous, but it seems interesting to see how they would go about making the movie.

You are SO much braver than I am. I am feeling lightheaded just thinking about it, lol.

Barbie does Dallas [Cowboys].

I'll see that one if Emily Blunt plays Barbie.

That could be the most dangerous task you have ever undertaken. Err, at least as far as your mental well-being is concerned

LOL. When my daughter was very young, I thought I'd fight the good fight against the Barbie juggernaut. You know, protecting my daughter from the mind-control agenda of Mattel and Madison Avenue, gender stereotypes, distorted body image issues, and the like. Needless to say, Mattel was Iron Mike and I was Trevor Berbick. I've become quite adept at changing Barbie clothes, which is a lot harder than it looks.

I'd be very dissapointed if this movie was anatomically correct.

Barbie should be unbelievably stacked with tiny feet, and about seven feet tall.
She should be some sort of savant, being able to do damn near any job on earth, and yet not keeping any one job for more than a year or so until she moves on to the next.

Ken should be fairly muscular and have a smooth plastic lump where his genetalia would be. His entire character should be influenced by his sexual frustration. He always plays second fiddle to barbie, he's like a sidekick, but at the same time, being denied (through nature's cruel joke) the number one perk of hanging out with barbie. Nothing more than a glorified cuckold. He is a sad and pathetic creature who must be pitied.
