Barbershop/ salon in bergdorf goodman?

i seem to remember reading in Peter Mayle's book about one of the Great Men's Salons being in bergdorf goodman....anyone know about it?

opinions of the art of shaving in NYC?

looking for an EXCELLENT mens salon to visit when i visit NYC this fall.

other recommendations of great things to experience in manhattan after returning from 6 months in the middle east, please pass them along. (i already have Brioni on my list.)

If it's supposed to be in the men's store, it either closed or never existed.  There's no barber shop in Bergdorf Mens.

Art of Shaving products are good.  I personally don't like their shaving cream though-- found it too soapy.  I liked the pre-shave oil though, and use that.

Love lavender Art of Shaving, and it did take some adjustment as it is very soapy.
