You mean paying more than 35% of my gross income to Federal and State governments is not socialism? Or the additional forced payments for the social benefit programs, such as Medicare/MediCal and Social Security?

I would be glad to live in a Socialism inclined states such as much of the Western Europe or Scandinavian countries if the benefits can actually be seen...

You are right....there are already socialist elements in our as-is government. I try my best to find and vote for those who try to find solutions that will eliminate those elements while maintaining the social benefits they provide.

However...be fair! unless you make over 395k, not a penny of your income has a federal tax rate over 33%. And if you don't think Obama would like to take and redistribute even more than today, I believe you should take a closer look.

I thought it had already been proved that the US is socialist; we just don't tax corporations and the rich enough to make our socialism effective. Sort of like McSocialism.

California state tax is around 9%. To me, the presidential election very similar to the Special Olympics, where the least handicapped/marsupialed win competitions.

It is; US is the largest socialist state in the world where as China is the largest capitalist state in the world. And India is the best demonstration of a living failure of Democracy.
