I see it the other way around. Interpol dress fine enough, but 2/3 of each record is skipable (imo) whereas Franz doesnt have a single track I skip over.

I forgot about my fave band du jour, The Rifles. An amazing debut (No Love Lost) and they are sussed to boot

Gotta throw Madness into this hat too....

And I thought we were friends. Songs like "Eleanor Put Your Boots On" make me want to scratch out my eyes with a rusty hot poker. I find much of "You Could" very skippable. Actually, the only song I ever listen to on that album is the last track. "Outsiders" is probably one of the coolest "indie" songs written.

Wow, whodini pulled out Man-O-War! I actually saw Man O War a couple of years ago. They absolutely live up to the loudest band reputation, my ears rang for days and since the sound-guys didn't know how to run the compressors they blew out the monitors too.

I have to counter with Hell-O-Ween!

Disagree 100%. Everyone of Interpol's tracks is unique and gold to me and Franz all ends up sounding the same to me.

    To each his own.

Style? I'm not sure about their style but The Replacements was one of the best bands ever.

Beck was a good call zach.

If I could find decent pictures, but the who and the rolling stones dressed really well in the late 60's.
