The ones at Target and Walmart are made in USA (at least, they were the last time I checked) and just need to be broken in to be softened.

Bought a pack from Wal Mart last week after I soaked my last one down in 60wt oil. Package said 'Made in China'....

EDIT - Wish I could keep my ******* ironhead running....
