1. And... we're back. You'll notice that all of your images are back as well, as are our beloved emoticons, including the infamous :foo: We have also worked with our server folks and developers to fix the issues that were slowing down the site.

There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

    Hey All,

    With a substantial discount:
    http://slickdeals.net/forums/showthr...readid=1821055

I was browsing some items and bumped into these

$52 after discount - in brown
    http://bananarepublic.gap.com/browse...d=1&pid=656887

$60 after discount - with a rubber sole in brown, was thinking these would be good for wet/puddle days in Miami
    http://bananarepublic.gap.com/browse...d=1&pid=547920

I remember faintly that the general consensus is that BR shoes are horrible for the price...but for 60 bucks - would they be decent wet/crappy weather shoes? I know these shoes probably aren't candidates for resoling, but when it comes to "horrible" - is that from it falling apart when water touches it or its lacking some of things that make a good shoe (ie goodyear welting, etc?)

Thinking more about it...with careful shopping and patience I was able to collect 2nds and lightly worn AE and Ferragamos for around 80 or less....so I guess the real question would be is a 20% savings worth it for glue jobs and I guess peace of mind of not cringing everytime I step in a puddle with the better shoes :p

If you're that worried abuot getting your other shoes wet during rainy season, then 1 pair of BR shoes isn't going to kill you.

FYI, BR has 40% off all sale stuff in store, so I'm sure you can get better deals there then online.
