Quick question.

What is the appropiate amount of gap between the tongue and eyelets on a balmoral shoe when laced? Should the bal be completely closed(no tongued exposed)?

Thanks

a sliver of a tongue...if you have a big "v" then the shoes do not fit.

this is a question that comes up so often but you have to realize that not all shoe manufacturers cut their shoes the same.

i had a pair of gucci shoes that the bal would go up all the way and a bit overlapping but the size was correct on me.

i had a pair of edward green and AE that would be about 1/4 inches apart at the top. again correct size.

you dont gauge the shoe fit based on that. but on the whole, comfort and fit as mentioned.

it is like asking if a pair of jeans correctly fit by gauging where the front rise ends up 1 inch below your navel or 1 inch above it.
