View attachment 1081607 View attachment 1081608 Inspired by the beautiful blue Vass balmoral boots I saw in this thread (thanks RogerP), I had these made by Carmina on the Simpson last. Black grain on vamp mostly for comfort, because the crease of the Simpson last can dig into my foot a little. Cuffing pants that way only to show you the boots better,
I don’t walk around like that

Well done!

Sorry if I double post from another thread, but some good Balmoral Appreciation deserves a bump.

Didn't knew about this thread. Subscribed.

Still need to add a pair of balmorals to my collection.
It doesn't get a lot of play. only a few trying to resurrect it. Closed lacing boot may be the next big thing. Everything old gets to be new again at some time.

Here is my other pair (not my photos). They were an eBay find. I can only assume they were a Trickers MTO. I can't find any information on Trickers balmoral boots on the interweb.

It seems like the EG Shannon is just about the Balmoral gold standard. I was wondering, how does the C&J Charlton hold up to the Shannon? And does anyone have any experience with bespoke Balmorals by Franklin?

I own the Charlton and love it. It fits a bit narrow.

I'd suggest you also consider Carmina's new balmoral offering:
