    Manton, Nice Boots!

Here is the Lobb Brooklands. I love the 8000 last.

I like the Brooklands a lot and may give it a try. I'll be in NYC in a few weeks and hope to see and try it on at the Lobb store.

The 351 looks much pointier, eg:
I think it looks like the 350:
    - but it might be yet another new C&J last.

You're right. It was the 350 I was thinking of, but I was too lazy to do a search to confirm my (incorrect) recollection.

2nd pair of shannons going on from the midnight blue antique as featured on page 13. I was so enamoured with T4phage's pair on page 4 that, with his permission, I decided to use those for inspiration.

Dark oak / mink suede on 82 last, single leather sole, blind eyelets and featuring the southwold 'short wing' cap. They promised a three month turnaround and it was bang on 3 months.

The lighter antique colors from EG typically look like that at the toes. Most of the color is added by hand polishing. Bengal or someone can explain that effect I am sure. I rather like it. It certainly does not bother me.

Surprisingly, she claimed not to hate them.

They're nice boots. I was just ribbing you about the toes. Don't be angry with me, sir.
