Thanks synthi, they are on the 888.

I think your choice of midnight was inspired. Great work!

New model at C&J Paris - the Avebury II:

Looks like it's a Handgrade model (yay), but no details of the last it's on just yet.

    351?

The 351 looks much pointier, eg:

I think it looks like the 350:

    - but it might be yet another new C&J last.

If it ever gets released outside of Paris, I would imagine it would cost around GBP 360, in line with other Handgrade boots.

Whoa! At that price I'd rather pay a bit extra and get EG.

When precisely does one wear a pair of boots like these? For what occasions?

Tax free Shannon boots are 585 pounds.

That's a fair bit extra. [IMG]

Also, the price of GBP 360 I quoted includes VAT; price excluding VAT would be just over GBP 300.

Balmoral boots? With suits when it's cold and/or wet.

    Manton, Nice Boots!

Here is the Lobb Brooklands. I love the 8000 last.

I like the Brooklands a lot and may give it a try. I'll be in NYC in a few weeks and hope to see and try it on at the Lobb store.

You're right. It was the 350 I was thinking of, but I was too lazy to do a search to confirm my (incorrect) recollection.

2nd pair of shannons going on from the midnight blue antique as featured on page 13. I was so enamoured with T4phage's pair on page 4 that, with his permission, I decided to use those for inspiration.

Dark oak / mink suede on 82 last, single leather sole, blind eyelets and featuring the southwold 'short wing' cap. They promised a three month turnaround and it was bang on 3 months.
