I see a lot of posts about what to do when balding but that doesn't really concern me. I've been balding for two years now and I recently turned 20. It's not yet noticeable as I had a very forward hair line and dense hair to start with but I will soon be shaving it all off before it becomes thin enough to see. My question isn't a hair style question I'm more curious as to what the consensus is about men who are bald. What colours are good to wear, style of shirts etc.

Obviously having a good body goes well with being bald and tailoring your clothes to fit that look is great too. I've always been a shallow v-neck kind of guy. Flat colours, no brands with a good pair of jeans and shoes. Or perhaps a casual blazer over a shallow V and some casual slacks. Recently I heard a stand-up comedian who was bald talk about wearing a V-neck as a bald man doesn't work because it's showing too much flesh.

Anyways -- thoughts? If it helps I'm a lighter skinned male with dark eyes and a tall athletic build.

It's a good question, but without more information on appearance, personality, and life circumstances, there is almost nothing to say. The one caution is that men who look tough with a shaved head and don't want to seem scary should wear some friendly colors to soften the look.

Have you tried Biotin? I understand baldness is hereditary but Biotin promotes hair growth. Perhaps worth a try.

You may also want to see a trichologist. Now would be better than later.

Embrace your pate. Most of the cosmetic solutions are too much trouble. And what's wrong with looking tough? We're men, after all.

"Looking tough" can scare off women. Also, it can be associated with lack of intelligence, which could hurt in employment.

No worries. Just wear a pup on your shoulder and the ladies will swoon.

Shave your head. Looks better than thinning hair/Friar Tuck thing.

First of all, congratulations for having the right idea on this: Like the poster above said, shaving your hair is a million miles better than any of the alternatives.

Secondly, I don't think baldness is really much of an issue with choosing things like colours (that's more about what goes with your skin tone) or styles. Oh yeah: Having a good body and tailoring your clothes goes with everything. ;)

Did you read this O/O ir did you do your usual 'exposition then out'?

I don't think you come here for advice at all but if ever there was some that you should follow, this is it.

Black turtle-neck, Levi 501s and New Balance sneakers always seems to work well when folically-challenged.

Embrace the baldness? :slayer:

The colors and styling make him seem friendly enough, but it's not appropriate for most environments and the colors don't go well with his skin tone. (Also, there are a few fit issues.) A shaved head usually limits the color palette, somewhat like a low-contrast complexion does.
