Bag like Filson Small Field Bag, but with fixed shoulder strap (not removable)

So, I'm going on a trip to Italy for a couple weeks and want a small bag to carry around my camera, sunglasses, book, etc. while there.

Since I already have a Filson 257 (medium laptop bag), the natural choice is the Filson Small Field Bag:

The only problem with this bag in my mind, is that the shoulder strap is removable.

I want something similar, but with a FIXED shoulder strap so I don't have to worry about someone unclasping the strap and running away with my bag. I don't know if this is a concern in Italy, but it certainly is for future travel to India!

Anyway, any recommendations for a similar bag with a fixed shoulder strap?

Thanks!

Not a very elegant solution but what about taking some heavy duty zip ties or the like and fastening the strap's clip to the detachment point whenever you're traveling? If you did this securely and with multiple fasteners even a thief with incredible dexterity and wire cutters would need quite a bit of time to remove the bag from its strap. It would solve the problem of finding a different bag and provide more versatility when you're not traveling.

You're right to worry about pickpockets in Italy. It's a definitely a problem for travelers in many parts of the country. Just be careful and avoid looking like a dead giveaway for a tourist and you should be fine.

^^ I suppose this is an option. I've also just been thinking about getting a Filson Zippered Tote (http://www.filson.com/sm-tote-bag-wi...i-2092406.html) to use instead, as it would probably be more versatile for uses other than travelling. It might be frustrating not being able to put the bag over the shoulder (ie across the body) and really have both hands free though...
