Bad to do treadmill if legs sore from previous day's lift?

So I've been concentrating a lot more on my form and changing up my reps/sets and as a result I've been a little more sore (good sore) the day after a workout. If my glutes and quads are sore, is it counterproductive to do the treadmill the next day?

Soreness is more an indicator of change in workout than recovery.

So OK to then go treadmill it? My quads felt like jello by the end of my workout since I realized I'd been doing lunges wrong for the last two years (oops) and I then followed them with seated leg presses but I wasn't using an inordinate amount of weight (40lbs/hand on the lunges, 220lbs on the press) so you're probably right.

Totally depends on what you're trying to get out of your workout.

I squatted a new PR (still low) last week and ran for 30 minutes on the treadmill at 6.5-7.0 incline. Felt great the next day.

Then again, my goals are to increase my cardio for a specific reason. After that, I'm back to lifting heavy things and not running.

If you just care about looking pretty/getting stronger? Don't bother

If you want to be balanced/whatever? go for it.

I'd say it's 50/40/10 in terms of looking better/being in better cardio shape/getting stronger. I want to look tighter all the time, which I find mostly means staying active, but don't ever like to lift two days in a row. I mostly care that I don't undo what I did the previous day by overdoing it, but I guess I'd have to lift much, much heavier weights to do that.

It should be fine. The blood flow that you will get from going on the treadmill will help with the soreness. I probably wouldn't do anything too intense though like sprints or HIIT
