I got a new laptop from the IT department and it is bigger than my old one so I have to select from two bags. I am eventually going to use my Filson 258 after I get an office farther away from the IT department...but for now as not not upset IT I get to pick one of the following:

this one:
http://www.targus.com/us/product_det...ku=CUCT02UA15S

and this one:
http://www.targus.com/us/product_det...x?sku=TBB013US

I like the backpack much better than the other case but it seems unprofessional to use a backpack.

I made a similar choice and got the ugly nylon briefcase, albeit in a lighter colour.

I don't think I understand why IT would be offended if you transported the laptop in a stylish case.

They would say it is not well protected...they are not against it being stylish.

I do not like messenger bags...I need to have something with a handle.
