Gap always has tee shirts on sale, and if there's a Gap outlet nearby, that's a good place to check out as well.

I would stay away from the $6 tees from H&M though. Sizing up two sizes wasn't so much of a problem, but super warped/crooked/ripped seams after the first few washes sort of bothered me. I second trendyblanks.com. Shipping starts at $13 I think, but if you buy enough shirts, you'll be saving bunches. H&M does have some great stuff for the price though. Do you wear any sweaters or outerwear at all? If you do, Gap probably has some sweaters and cardigans on sale that would be good for a chilly classroom or a night out.

I would also invest in ONE fitted white or light blue shirt. Preferably with a short collar or a button down, because they don't come as too dressy for school. I just bought a Barneys COOP one at a Barneys outlet store for $30, but I just got lucky. Again, Gap, JCrew, and H&M both have decent fitting shirts, but the Gap and JCrew ones are more likely to last.

And congratulations on your new look. I just got back from a (fattening) 2 week trip to China. I'm trying to lose 3 pounds and it's not going too well. But then again, I haven't really done anything to prompt a weight loss for the past year.

So I'm getting the feeling that the general consensus is skinnies + tees.
I'm going to work on getting more AA t's (the threadless t's are AA) and some shoes + boots.
As a temporary sort of thing, how are 511s? They're really inexpensive.

The point of getting AA t-shirts/v-necks/whatever is that they're plain and don't have what some will consider, tacky silkprints on them. Just because the Threadless Select t-shirts are printed on AA, doesn't mean it's what we're suggesting. We're suggesting the AA t-shirts because they are able to match just about anything, are comfortable and are affordable.
