I am thinking of ordering a navy baby-cashmere blazer which my bespoke tailer has shown me. Amazing material and amazing color. Should I get vented side pockets with ticket pocket (recommended by my tailor) or patch pockets throughout? My tailor says that the fabric is to soft patch-pockets, but I feel that the patch-pockets will be more in-formal and sporty and less like the "jacket of a suit". I've attached a picture of jacket with same material and slanted pockets.

I've seen several jackets made of Loro Piana baby cashmere that looked terrible after about 5 wearings. So, go with the patches, because it may look worn and casual sooner than you'd like.

Precisely why I wouldn't pay a cent for that stuff. In fact, you'd have to pay me to take it.
